A little over a week ago, Tye and I went on our yearly vacation to California. This is our third year going so we decided to mix it up a little bit. In the past, we have gone to the same beach in San Diego. This year we decided to move up the coast a little and stay in Huntington Beach. It was a great week with lots of relaxing on the beach. Enjoy some pictures from our trip.

We stayed at the Hilton Waterfront at Huntington Beach. Highly recommend it for people looking for a really nice place with beach views. Here is the view from our room.

That being said, Tye gained us $96 of fees in the first 10 minutes of us being in our room. This fridge had computer sensors and it knew when you opened it up and when you removed bottles from their set location. He had to go to the front desk for something and that's how he found out about the fees we already had.

The hotel supplied us with 1 creamer of each flavor. If you know us, we need about 8 in a morning. Every morning was spent hunting down the housekeeping staff to see how many creamers we could get off their cart.

Fires were raging in LA county. This is a picture of our hotel with smoke behind it. Pretty big fire to produce that.....

Tye thought this was hilarious. His rash guard would fill up with wind and it made him look like he had big muscles. Oh dear.......

A classic picture of the feet at the beach on the first day. Pay no attention to the fact that my legs are burnt to a crisp........I didn't......

Tye was playing in the sand towards the end of the day and he built a sand snake. It was the only thing he could think of to build since he didn't have any tools. Here is the snake eating him. People walking by thought he was off his rocker.

A portrait with the head of the snake.

And there the snake is in it's glory. He had two kids hanging out with him while he was building the snake. They were so funny. Kept asking him if he had kids. When he said 'no' they seemed puzzled......

Our boogie board lost it's covering on the first day out. So the rest of the week, we road this ghetto looking piece of white foam.
