Saturday, we went down to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix for Tye to play a small show with Justin. There were only a few people in attendance and it was hotter than the sun. 103 to be exact. Also, the university floods their fields so it was also humid from that. A joyous time, nonetheless. Justin and the guys sounded great as usual. Here's a pic from the event:
You really can't tell from here, but the guys are sweating to death. After the show, Tye and I went shopping all over Phoenix and in Anthem at the outlet stores. All in all, a pretty successful day.
Enter Sunday. We decided that we would do some mountain biking in Sedona. For those of you unaware of Sedona, it is beautiful red rock country with the potential to get hot enough to sear your skin off. We were supposed to leave early so that wouldn't happen. We didn't leave early enough and thus the misery began. It was a fun bike ride, don't get me wrong. However, the dehydration level was high and so seemed the death toll if you spent much time in the sun. Here are some pics for you to enjoy:

Aren't we just precious? Start of Long Canyon Trail
Tye headed off a 2 foot step on Deadman's Trail. Pretty impressive, eh?It's a shame we had to look at these views all afternoon.

I am heading down a fairly steep rock run. I navigated it successfully for a pretty awesome picture.
And this is what death on the trail looks like. Man, was it HOT.
