Winter Camp

About two weeks ago (Boy, am I slow) we had 250 3rd thru 6th graders at camp for the weekend.  The theme of the weekend was Rock Band.  We wanted to challenge kids to finding out what they are good at and what they are passionate about.  Then, we wanted them to see how individually they have great gifts but together as a body, we could accomplish even more.  It was cool to see how much fun the kids had with the weekend and how they responded.  I heard a few stories of kids who went back to their church group and wanted to challenge the group to make a difference in their community.  It was awesome.

We rented a few inflatables for all the kids to play on during rec time.It snowed on Sunday morning. Most Phoenix kids have never even seen snow.
We had a Guitar Hero competition.This is what the stage looked like for the set.  It was pretty cool.  And, oh yeah, that's me speaking in the front.
