4th of July

Every year on the 4th of July, the sleepy town of Prescott, AZ comes to life.  Prescott is home of the the World's Oldest Rodeo (and probably the World's Oldest Rodeo Announcer), a parade that may be the longest in the history of the world, rodeo dances each night of the weekend, a boot race, and all sorts of vendors down around the courthouse.

For years, UCYC summer staff has participated in the parade. We scoop up the poop left behind by the what seems like hundreds of horse entries.  This year we decided to theme out what the teams could dress up as.  It was themed TV and Movies.  Here are what the teams came up with:

This team was Scooby Poo.  These guys looked great.  Robbie, Mike, Melissa, Jac-O, and Danica.

These guys took the $50 prize that the judges give out for the best scoopers. They did 'Troy' and put the poop back in the horses butt.  Very funny.  Chris, Lindsey, Zach, Clayton, and Brian.

This is Poop Wars.  They actually took a trash can and made R2D2.  That is where they stored the poop.  These guys were my vote for the best costumes.  Adam, Alexis, Elizabeth, Demetrius, and Jarred (who is an amazingly close looking Han Solo)
These guys did Crappy Shack. (Caddy Shack).  This was pretty funny because Andrew looks really close to Bill Murrays' character.  Hannah, Nick, and Andrew.
This was the team I was with.  I was sure that we would seal a victory with our Wizard of Poop get up.  Notice that the trailer is actually supposed to be a house and the witch's feet are hanging out the back.  Hardly anyone noticed. What a sad day. They had the whole routine down......the skip to the song 'We're off to see the Wizard' , oiling up the tin man, etc.  It was awesome.  Mike, Brittany, Carrie, and Reuben.  Great Job team!!!
