Forest Adventures
About a week ago, we decided that the dirt bikes had sat long enough and that it was time to do some serious damage on the Prescott trail system. So, we loaded the 4Runner up and headed out to Wolf Creek and prepared to embark on the 30+ mile ride to a town called Crown King. It's an awesome road through the Prescott National Forest with some great views. We ride for about 2 hours and decide that we should probably turn around and head back before it gets too dark to see where we are going. About 20 miles from the truck, my dirtbike dies. I mean death. Never to breath life again. We are stranded with no tools, no parts, and no one. Below is a picture of our location of death. Lovely, isn't it?
We sat around for a few minutes to see if we could figure out the problem (that's code for fighting over who should have packed the tools/parts for this particular outing). A nice man drove up and offered some assistance. Here is the log I sat on for almost an hour waiting to see what would happen.
The man gave us his best effort but still no running bike. So, it was time to make a decision: stay with the bike or ride two people one bike back to the car........Interesting.......
